What you need to know before you apply
  1. The school accepts children from 4.5 years and up to 13 years old.
  2. The school hours are 10 am to 2 pm, Monday to Thursday & Fridays from 10am to 1:15pm.
  3. Regular attendance is mandatory. Late arrivals or unexcused absence will be monitored. If you know you won’t be able to adhere to our hours regularly, please yield the spot to other children.
  4. School fees are $250 for your first child, $230 for a second child and $220 for each additional sibling if applicable. The books and other activity fees are included. This fee is nonrefundable after the starting day of the school.
  5. All children and parents are reminded to adhere to Islamic principles and teachings in their conduct and appearance in and outside the mosque: (i.e. dress code, ethical manners, attitude, behaviour, etc).
  6. We do not offer meals; each child is expected to bring his/her daily lunch (peanut-free meals only please).
  7. Our program needs committed parents for the better education of their children.
    1. Parent interaction and follow-up with their kids and the school is important to maximize the benefits of the school for all.
    2. This educational program is not a daycare service; for a daycare program please explore other alternatives.
The purpose of these policies is to allow a nicely organized start for our program. We want our kids to start their regular classes right, and from day one. Before we start classes on July 9th, we plan to have all teachers oriented, all students assigned to their classes, and all fees paid. Late applications or unregistered "show-ups" really disrupt the program and plans, and therefore will be assessed with additional fees.
Enrolment Process
  1. Fill out this online application form
    • Deadline: Saturday, July 6, 2019.
    • Extra fees of $20 will be applied for all registrations after this date. Only 50 spots are available at this time, on a first-come/first-serve basis.
  2. Please pay the full amount before commencing classes, using CASH OR CHEQUE (cheques made payable to “Muslim Community of Edmonton Mosque & Muslim House”, with the child's name in the memo).

    1. If you cannot complete the online form, please print and fill out the application form and submit it with the fees on the dates noted above.
    2. Applications submitted after the deadline will ONLY be considered if we still have open spots.
    3. A late application fee of $20 per child will be applied to cover the extra administration work of late registrations.
      1. Students will go through an assessment test - individually - to determine in which level they fit best.
      2. An orientation session will take place for all classes.
  2. Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot in the school. Enrolment is first-come / first-serve, and depends on the availability of teachers & having sufficient students to sustain a class for that level.
  3. By submitting the application form, you confirm that you have accepted and will adhere to our policies.
  4. All tuition must be paid on or before the Orientation event (July 6) for the application to be considered.
