The MCE Qur’an School has been established to help Muslim parents in teaching their children correct Qur’an recitation and memorization. Our method is to make Qur’an recitation, memorization, and interpretation (brief) digestible by instilling the love of the book of Allah in today’s youth. This is intended to create an Islamically rich atmosphere inshallah.

Curriculum and Placement:

In an effort to revive correct Qur’an recitation and memorization, the MCE Qur’an school has developed a new curriculum to better address the needs of students who are interested in learning the proper recitation, memorization, and interpretation (in brief) of the Qur’an. All students will inshallah be tested prior to admission to determine what level best fits their standing. The levels are categorized as follows:

Beginners: Students can’t read from the Qur’an.

Material to be taught: Al Qa’idatoul Makiyah by Sheikh Hassan Ibn Saalim (Introduction to Qur’an recitation).

Intermediate: Students can recite from the Mus-haf at the beginner’s level.

Material to be taught: Recitation, memorization, and brief interpretation of Juzu’ Ama and Tabaraka (Chapters 29 and 30) with basic tajweed rules.

Advanced: Students can read from the Qur’an with tajweed rules. Focus is put on memorization of the entire Qur’an at this level.

Material to be taught: Recitation and memorization with tajweed rules from Souratool Baqara.

Please note that there is no way around the levels. Students MUST grasp the material at a given level in order to be promoted to the next level.
